Recap of this summers Adventures

Because we didn't have time this weekend to do much traveling I decided to recap some of this summers adventures with some photos that were taken along the way and may not have previously used in this blog. Some photos are older photos that were taken before the Traveling Hat started but I wanted to share them with you.
I want to thank everyone that has stopped by and checked this out.  In the few months that I have had this blog up there has been over 250 views.  This means a lot to me.  I hope you enjoy reading and viewing my photos as much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I am looking forward to the fall colors to add to our adventures.

Whitehall Mi.

This weekends adventure took us to Whitehall Mi.  A small town in Muskegon Co, with a population of just under 3,000 people.  With its many marinas and beautiful shore line, Whitehall is a perfect summer stop.  But also a great place for early to late fall.  The winding roads with tree covers areas makes for perfect photos.  We visited the lighthouse there that boast being a humble lighthouse.  The tower is smaller than most but still impressive.  This light house was closed down in 1960.  After you roam around and it is time to eat stop by and have a pizza at Big Johns pizza. Serving pizza since 1970.

Fennville Mi

Well folks its that time of year, harvest time.  This weekend took us to Fennville Michigan to do a little apple picking.  The weather was perfect and the apples looked great this year.  After picking apples at Cranes Orchard it is always a tradition to go and have some fresh apple cider and an apple or pumpkin spiced doughnut.  So take those back roads and stop in and get a fresh off the tree apple, there is nothing like it.

The Shack Jugville Mi

Welcome to the Shack in Jugville Mi, yes folks there is a Jugville Mi.  I was surprised too.  Located just east of Fremont Mi is Jugville. Sadly there is no Wikipedia page for this community.  The information I did find on a web page stated that Jugville did not get counted in the 2010 Census.  I wonder did they forget about them? Did they blink and pass the place up?  If it wasn't for the Shack Resort I wonder if there would be a Jugville?
