This weekend brought us to the beautiful city of Traverse City. The old State Hospital was the attraction we came to see along with the fall colors. The colors were not quite at peak but there was enough to make the trip worth wile. At the State Hospital our tour guide Joe did a wonderful job talking and entertaining us along the tour. The work they are doing there is something that should occur at more old buildings. History is lost when we take down these buildings. They don't build them like that any more. I am so happy that they people of Traverse City did not allow the wrecking ball to take this building down. So if you happen to be in there area and are looking for something to do and learn some great history of Michigan, stop by and take the two hour tour. Thanks Joe for the tour

The traverse city commons is a creepy but awesome place to stay. The history will tell us otherwise as it was a very progressive rehabilitation center rather than a straight suit insaneasylm.
